Huguenot Mad-Hatter 1870 tshirt with Victorian millinery shop hat stand taken from a 1840 Penny Dreadful magazine hat makers advert. The skull is taken from a Laudanum bottle label. The artwork depicts mercury damage caused by skills & techniques imported by French Huguenots & shared with East London hat makers which ultimately drove them mad onroute to death while incarcerated in Bedlam. Fully labelled screen-printed 100% cotton medium weight.
